kaytee´s story: I was born on 23rd January 1979, aquarius ( ascendant capricorn for the astrologers...). It´s said that this would make me very determined, focussed and impatient. Well, maybe. As a child, there was only one thing I wanted to be: loud! Entertain everybody, wanted or not.. My parents had mercy on me and bought me a trumpet when I was nine. That was great, but soon I found out that I couldn´t sing and play at the same time! At age 15 I was made a dancefloor queen by a school mate. He was very enthusiastic and even managed to record 3 songs in a studio. I thank God it was crap and no one wanted to hear it so I would not be laughed at in public. Then I realized I wanted to be a singer and took a few years of vocal coaching, Mozart, Bach... so many hours I spent with my very catholic vocal coach but the classics aren´t mine, too stiff. So I started writing my own songs. By age 18 I had a funkrock band called “Blake”. Great (drinking) experience but.....well you know. Then I had the chance to take a leading part in a musical in Ulm (Faust- The Rock Opera). You could see me whipping Faust in murderous high-heels. No, not what I wanted either. I needed to write my own stuff. Then I moved to Stuttgart and recorded some house tracks with Moo-Music. But it never came to a release due to differences. Period. Now, in 2006 I am trying to do what I want and not to give a shit about what people might want or what could be a good seller. I have a piano project that is my baby! I sing songs that were written by men and artists that really influenced my musical life. My own songs of course and some tunes I simply couldn´t get out of my head... It´s called Kaytee Kay & Philipp Noll And there´s another project I am working on that´s gonna be really entertainig, I promise! Check this out: My lyrics: I write all the time. Short stories, poems in English or German. I am trying to make a collection and find someone to publish it. But I´m not sure when that´s gonna be.
